Hey y'all--Here's a slideshow of pix my husband Tom Sale took at the Houston Livestock Show 2009. It's the biggest indoor Livestock Show in the world; 88,000 visitors came on the days we were there! Our aisle of Mini Zebu was constantly packed. We had a very small show; many regular exhibitors stayed home this time due to the poor economy, high gas prices, and the midweek show schedule. I am thrilled to announce that my 3 yr. old bull FLR Mini Takka won Grand Champion Senior Bull! This makes him a Permanent Grand Champion; now he only shows in the Champion Challenge. If/when he wins that 5 times under 3 judges, he'll become a Master Champion. At Houston, he won the Champion Challenge--showing against the Jr. Champion and any PGCH bulls in attendance; so he has 4 more to go.

It's hard for me to be calm about all this--I am out of my mind with pride--I never thought I could be a winner! I'm an average "barn-blind" person: I think my cows are gorgeous, but I'm shocked that they've started winning! FLR Rocket and Shell Creek Ranch Pee-Wee's Lil Prince have started picking up Grands and Reserves, so I have great hopes for them also.

So PLEASE forgive all the pix of my "Victory Walk;" I couldn't help myself! Here's a guide to identify everybody:
